« second rôle de l’Histoire » lorsque l’on considère les plus de 40
années de carrière diplomatique de Talleyrand qui l’ont vu jouer un rôle de
tout premier plan dans les affaires de la France entre l'Ancien Régime et
le XIXe siècle ? <span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>La question reste posée
mais je n’ai pas d’autres catégories où le ranger dans ce blog et donc celle-ci
conviendra parfaitement à celui qui peut être considéré comme le précurseur
sinon le maitre de tous les hommes politiques qui l’ont suivi, dès qu’il s’agit
de trahison, retournement de veste et intérêt personnel bien compris. Les Éric
Besson, Manuel Valls et autres Emmanuel Macron font bien pâle figure à côté de
celui qui a érigé le cynisme en art de vivre. C’est dans la remarquable biographie
qu’André Castelot lui a consacré, « Talleyrand ou le cynisme » que l’on
peut trouver ces vers extrait d’un poème satirique d’Auguste Marseille
Barthelemy qui résument magnifiquement le caractère de celui qui commença sa
carrière en tant qu’évêque ! </p>

</span>justice à l’action des personnages qui la composent. S’il y a quelqu’un
pour qui cela est flagrant c’est bien Philippe Kieffer. Victime de la mystérieuse
sélectivité de la mémoire nationale qui choisit les héros qu’elle glorifie
selon des critères dont la pertinence n’est pas toujours évidente, il a de plus
été l’objet d’une certaine forme d’ostracisme de la part du Général de Gaulle
qui avait besoin d’écrire l’Histoire en minimisant le rôle de tout ce qui
n’était pas France Libre afin de donner à cette dernière le maximum
d’importance : <span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></span></p>

normal">Tenu par les Alliés à l’écart des préparatifs du Débarquement, le
général de Gaulle n’est pas venu saluer les hommes de Kieffer en Normandie
durant l’été 1944, lorsqu’il vient restaurer la légalité républicaine à Bayeux.
(…). Durant et après le conflit, de Gaulle ne s’est guère exprimé au sujet du
Commando Kieffer, excepté à travers les honneurs rendus à quatre fusiliers
marins commandos devenus compagnons de la Libération. Après la guerre, de
Gaulle n’a jamais souhaité venir en Normandie commémorer la date du 6 juin
1944. En 1964, il refuse d’assister aux commémorations du vingtième
anniversaire. De Gaulle n’a jamais voulu faire de cet épisode du Débarquement
un évènement central et un combat de la France Libre, rejetant ainsi
catégoriquement de la mémoire française libre, le coup d’éclat des
« Français du Jour J ». (…) Composé de véritables Français libres et

Commando Kieffer n’appartient ni à l’histoire, ni à la mémoire de la France

découvert André Bollier. <a href="http://www.ordredelaliberation.fr/fr_compagnon/116.html">Compagnon de la Libération</a>, Bollier est mort à 24 ans
en juin 1944, en fuyant la Gestapo et la milice, après avoir été grièvement
blessé sur le front en 1940 et s’être consacré, à partir de 1941, à
l’organisation et à la propagande de Combat, journal du mouvement éponyme.
Comme l’écrit Belot : "<em style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Frenay
doit beaucoup à ce jeune idéaliste grâce à qui a été forgé l’instrument qui a
permis d’engager la première phase du combat résistant, le combat de la parole

à l’Ecole normale supérieure et sixième à l’Ecole polytechnique en 1938, avait
en effet choisi de mettre son intelligence au service de son idéal. Comme
l’explique <a href="http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Bollier">sa notice sur Wikipédia</a>, il "<em style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">invente un procédé de photogravures qui permet de composer le journal à
Lyon et de l'imprimer dans plusieurs endroits. Il développe un réseau qui
compte jusqu'à quatorze imprimeries. (…) Pour acheter de grosses quantités de
papier sans être repéré, il crée le Bureau de recherches géodésiques et
géophysiques, ainsi qu'une entreprise, qui n'ont en réalité aucune activité. Ce
labeur inlassable permet à l'équipe dirigée par André Bollier d'imprimer, au
début de 1944, un million et demi d'exemplaires de Combat et de tracts
clandestins, qui sont diffusés dans l'ancienne zone non occupée.</em>"</p>

mémoire</a> en mai 2011 par son fils Vianney Bollier, nous apprenons qu’André
Bollier a eu sept petits enfants et dix arrière petits enfants. Ils peuvent être

Je vais faire ici une exception en m’intéressant au général polonais<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Władysław Eugeniusz Sikorski dont la disparition tragique a joué un rôle majeur dans le destin de la Pologne. Ecoutons ce qu’en dit un autre général, bon connaisseur de la Pologne,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Charles de Gaulle, dans ses Mémoires de guerre, suite à l’accident d’avion qui coûta la vie à Sikorski en 1943 : « <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Cet homme éminent, qui jouissait d’assez de prestige pour dominer les passions de ses compatriotes, d’assez d’audience internationale pour qu’on dût le ménager, était irremplaçable. Dès le lendemain de sa disparition, la crise russo-polonaise prit l’allure d’un conflit aigu </em>».</p> <p style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify" class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://ecodemystificateur.blog.free.fr/index.php?post/2009/04/23/Good-Bye%2C-Lenin-...-for-ever-%21">Ayant vécu en Pologne au moment de la chute du mur de Berlin</a>, j’ai eu l’occasion de m’intéresser à l’histoire de ce pays et elle est fascinante. Notamment par les parallèles que l’on peut faire avec celle de la France. Si notre beau pays a pu, en dépit de la défaite, se retrouver dans le camp des vainqueurs, il le doit principalement – sinon exclusivement – au fait qu’il a été libéré par le Américains et grâce à l’attitude intransigeante du Général de Gaulle qui a obtenu des alliés que l’on tienne compte de la France. La Pologne, elle a été "libérée" par les russes et celui qui aurait pu jouer le même rôle que De Gaulle est mort prématurément. Ce sont ces deux facteurs qui ont fait que les Polonais, après avoir combattu bravement sur tous les fronts, ont ensuite subit 45 ans de chape de plomb pendant que les français, qui n’avaient pas été spécialement plus méritants, profitaient des trente glorieuses.</p>
<p style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify" class="MsoNormal">Mais revenons à Sikorski et à ce qu’en dit l’historien britannique Norman Davies dans son ouvrage de référence, « Histoire de la Pologne » : « <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Parlementariste déclaré, libéral par inclination, auteur distingué et personnage de stature internationale, on pouvait dire de lui comme pour Churchill (…), qu’il était l’"homme du destin". Passionnément attaché à l’indépendance de son pays, il était au dessus de la politique politicienne et du dogmatisme idéologique rigide. Il désirait ardemment une Pologne meilleure après la guerre, une Pologne plus en sécurité, plus prospère, plus équitable pour ses propres enfants (…) </em> »<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Et plus loin : « (…) <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Churchill, Sikorski et de Gaulle étaient ainsi les seul chefs alliés qui continuassent le combat</em> »<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></p>
<p style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify" class="MsoNormal">On connaît la fin de l’histoire et la manière dont la Pologne fut abandonnée à son triste sort : « <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Mis à part le très menu fretin comme les dirigeants des Etats baltes, de la Norvège et de la Hollande, le général de Gaulle fut sans doute la seule personnalité qui resta fidèle à ses amis polonais dans le Londres de la guerre. Les Français libres avaient bien des points communs avec le gouvernement polonais et les mêmes bonnes raisons de mépriser les machinations des Trois Grands. Seulement, bien qu’exclus des délibérations qui décidaient de leur avenir, ils eurent au moins la satisfaction de rentrer chez eux en triomphateurs à la fin de la guerre. C’est que la France fut libérée par Montgomery et Patton, non pas par Joukov et Rokossowski </em>» <span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></p>

de Maurice de Cheveigné</a>, Français Libre. Ses mémoires n’ont pas trouvé
d’éditeur. C’est Daniel Cordier qui<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>nous
le dit dans son dernier ouvrage intitulé "De l’Histoire à
l’histoire" : </p>
<blockquote><p>Maurice de Cheveigné avait
rédigé, une quinzaine d’années avant sa mort, en 1992, des Mémoires intitulés
« Radio libre ». Ils évoquaient de façon sensible nos activités et
notre amitié à Lyon en 1942 et 1943. Ces remarquables Mémoires, plus proches de
la vérité que les écrits des « grands témoins » de la Résistance,
n’ont intéressé, hélas, aucun éditeur.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Je ne vais pas m’étendre sur ce qui constitue
à mes yeux une aberration incompréhensible et scandaleuse : comment
peut-on se priver d’un tel témoignage ? Comment peut-on tolérer que l’exemple
de ces Français Libres risque de s’effacer de notre mémoire collective ? Je
me contenterai de renvoyer à l’article que j’avais écrit après avoir découvert,
par le plus grand des hasards sur Internet, ce document poignant. Une dernière
chose. <a href="http://ecodemystificateur.blog.free.fr/index.php?post/Dernier-de-Cordier">Dans son livre</a>, Daniel Cordier indique que De Cheveigné a mis fin à
ses jours. On ne peut s’empêcher alors de penser à ce qu’il écrivait dans ses
mémoires : « <span style="mso-fareast-font-family:"MS Mincho"">Et si
je dois mourir, (…)<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>que ce soit de ma
main. ». C’était un homme libre qui a choisit sa fin.</span></p>

seconds rôles de l’Histoire, j’ai choisi un assassin, Fernand Bonnier de La
Chapelle, jeune Algérois de vingt-deux ans qui, le 24 décembre 1942 abat de
deux balles l’amiral Darlan. On peut raisonnablement considérer que ce geste a
changé le cours de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale pour la France, en facilitant la
tâche du Général de Gaulle qui voyait ainsi s’effacer l’un des obstacles que
les Anglo-Saxons dressaient devant lui. </p> <p><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

de s’engager dans les rangs des Corps francs d’Afrique. Arrêté, il fut condamné
et exécuté, sa grâce ayant été refusée par Giraud, qui, décidé à sanctionner le
meurtre d’un grand chef, était peu désireux de voir étalés au grand jour les
résultats d’une enquête dont on ne pouvait prévoir les rebondissements. Quels
étaient les commanditaires ? Sur ce point, deux thèses s’affrontent : la
première voudrait que la mort de l’amiral ait été programmée et exécutée à
l’intérieur d’un petit cercle de jeunes hommes révoltés par le maintien d’un
responsable de Vichy, chantre de la Collaboration. La seconde thèse, qui parait
plus vraisemblable à l’historien Jean-Pierre Azéma, fait agir dans la coulisse
des personnalités prises à contre-pied par la consolidation du pouvoir de
Darlan, puisque les Anglo-Saxons paraissaient bel et bien maintenir cet «
expédient provisoire ». Faute de solution légale, il fallait alors recourir à
l’assassinat, en manipulant ce groupe de jeunes résistants décidés à tout.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Quel fut le point de vue de
certains des acteurs de cette époque troublée ? Alors que son patron, Jean
Moulin, considérait que le meurtre n’est pas une arme politique même si en
l’occurrence il ne s’en plaignait pas, le jugement de Daniel Cordier vis à<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>vis de Bonnier de La Chapelle fut sans
ambigüité : « <em style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">D’emblée, il est
pour moi un héros de la Libération et le symbole de notre aventure. J’envie sa
bravoure et regrette de ne pas avoir assassiné Darlan de<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>mes mains.</em> » Pour Churchill « <em style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Le meurtre de Darlan délivre les Alliés de
l’embarras que lui causait sa coopération en leur laissant tous les avantages
qu’il avait pu leur procurer</em> » <br />Enfin de Gaulle, principal concerné par les
conséquences de cet acte, expose son analyse dans ses mémoires : </p>
<blockquote><p>« <em style="">(…) Fernand Bonnier de la Chapelle, s’était
fait l’instrument des colères exaspérées qui mettaient autour de lui les âmes
en ébullition, mais derrière lesquelles, peut-être, remuait une politique
décidée à liquider un « expédient temporaire » après l’avoir utilisé. Ce tout
jeune homme, cet enfant, bouleversé par le spectacle d’événements odieux,
pensait que son acte serait un service rendu à la patrie déchirée en
débarrassant d’un obstacle à ses yeux scandaleux le chemin de la réconciliation
française. (…) Certes, nul particulier n’a le droit de tuer en dehors du champ
de bataille. D’ailleurs, la conduite de Darlan, comme gouvernant et comme chef,
relevait de la justice nationale et non point, assurément, de celle d’un groupe
ou d’un individu. Pourtant, comment méconnaître la nature des intentions qui
soulevèrent cette juvénile fureur ? C’est pourquoi, la façon étrange et brutale
dont l’enquête fut menée à Alger en quelques heures, le procès hâtif et tronqué
devant un tribunal militaire réuni sur-le-champ et siégeant de nuit, à huis
clos, l’exécution immédiate et secrète de<span style="">
</span>Fernand Bonnier de la Chapelle, les ordres donnés aux censeurs pour
qu’on ne sût même pas son nom, donnèrent à croire qu’on voulait à tout prix
cacher l’origine de sa décision et furent une sorte de défi aux circonstances
qui, sans justifier le drame, l’expliquaient et, dans une certaine mesure,
l’excusaient.</em> »</p>

</span>Niger, la guerre du brut </a>», ont mis en évidence la tragédie du Nigeria,
victime de la malédiction de l’or noir. C’est en visionnant l’un de ces
reportages que j’ai découvert l’existence d’un homme qui aurait eu 70 ans cette
année, un homme qui a tenté de résister à la mise à sac de son pays : Ken
Saro Wiwa, écrivain, activiste et défenseur de l'environnement. Il a été
exécuté le 10 Novembre 1995 par la dictature militaire nigériane à la solde de
la multinationale Shell qui a joué un rôle important dans cet assassinat. Il a
été pendu haut et court, tout comme huit autres défenseurs des droits de

<blockquote><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Ken Saro Wiwa avait lutté de
manière non violente pour une meilleure utilisation des revenus pétroliers. Son
objectif était d’améliorer les conditions de vie de la petite ethnie des
Ogonis, qui habitaient une importante zone de production pétrolière et qui était
victime de tous les inconvénients de cette industrie polluante. Dans un procès
qualifié de farce par les observateurs, les neuf activistes avaient été
déclarés coupables de meurtres. En fait, le dictateur militaire Sani Abacha
voulait briser toute résistance contre la production pétrolière dans le delta
du Niger et particulièrement dans l'Ogoni land, la région natale de Ken
Saro-Wiwa.<span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Depuis les années 50, c’est dans
des conditions catastrophiques pour l’environnement que l’on extrait<span style=""> </span>le pétrole au Nigeria. Mais ce n’est qu’au
début des années 90 que la résistance de la population n’a trouvé un écho
international avec le soulèvement de l’ethnie Ogoni.<br />[…]<br />Saro-Wiwa avait prêché la
résistance pacifique et lutté pour les droits de son ethnie<span style=""> </span>Ogoni, l’une des 250<span style=""> </span>ethnies que compte le Nigeria.<br />[…]<br />L’écrivain et activiste souffrait
de voir que des milliers de kilomètres d’oléoducs traversaient des terres<span style=""> </span>anciennement fertiles, que des vapeurs
nocives, des puits à ciel ouvert et une expropriation généralisée
transformaient chaque jour un peu plus la terre des Ogoni en un paysage lunaire
dont les forêts disparaissaient à tout jamais et où la misère des habitants ne
faisaient que croître.<br />[…]<br />Son combat non-violent contre
l’exploitation pétrolière effrénée par la multinationale Shell ne plait pas à
la dictature militaire qui tire grand profit de la manne pétrolière. Les juges
qui dans un faux semblant de procès ont condamné à mort<span style=""> </span>Ken Saro-Wiwa et ses compagnons de lutte ont
admis par la suite avoir été corrompus. Ken Saro-Wiwa Junior croit savoir par
qui: "Nous sommes certains que<span style="">
</span>Shell a joué un rôle important quand des Ogoni ont été torturés et
pendus, quand des villages entiers ont été détruits,<span style=""> </span>les sols<span style="">
</span>pollués,<span style=""> </span>tant de gens expulsés.

certaine manière été démontrée puisque la compagnie anglo-néerlandaise a
accepté en 2009 <a href="http://www.lefigaro.fr/international/2009/06/09/01003-20090609ARTFIG00534-militants-tues-au-nigeria-shell-paie-pour-eviter-le-proces-.php">de
payer 15,5 millions de dollars pour éviter un procès</a>. </p>

renvoie inéluctablement à la question, et moi, qu’aurais-je fait dans les mêmes
circonstances ? Mais cela pose aussi la question plus dérangeante et que
fais-je maintenant, alors que les circonstances sont incomparablement moins
risquées mais que les raisons de s’indigner ne manquent pas et que l’injustice
étend son emprise sur le monde ?<span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Au hasard de mes lectures et de
ma navigation sur Internet, j’ai découvert un trésor : <a href="http://www.alyon.org/litterature/livres/lyonnais/radio_libre/garde.html">le
texte des mémoires de Maurice de Cheveigné</a>. Je vous préviens tout de
suite : ce n’est pas le futur prix Goncourt et le suspens ou les envolées
lyriques sont inexistants. C’est tout simplement le récit sans
fioritures inutiles de quelqu’un qui s’est conduit en héros et qui nous lègue son

de constater combien, semble-t-il, la décision de refuser la défaite et de
continuer à<span style=""> </span>se battre par tous les
moyens, fut naturelle, évidente,… génétique ! Comme Daniel Cordier, dont
il fut l’ami, Maurice de Cheveigné est très jeune et ne se pose pas de
questions sur les conséquences fâcheuses que sa décision pourrait entraîner
pour lui. Toute son énergie est concentrée vers un seul objectif :
rejoindre ceux, où qu’ils soient, qui refusent l’armistice et vont continuer le
combat. Fuyant la débâcle à travers l’Espagne il rejoindra l’Angleterre et les
Français Libres : </p>
<blockquote><p>"<em style="">Le major
Churchill-Longman voudrait savoir si je désire me joindre aux Anglais ou aux
Français. Le flegme, la résolution, la cohérence - et l'humour! - de la nation,
font des Britanniques une équipe désirable. Romantique, je me laisse séduire
par l'étiquette Français Libre: Français et libre, ça me va.</em>"</p>
</blockquote> Il
croise De Gaulle qui<span style=""> </span>lui dira, ainsi
qu’à ses deux compagnons arrivés le même jour : "<em style="">C'est bien d'être venu, vous avez fait votre devoir</em>". Après
plus de 16 mois d’instruction à Londres, il sera parachuté en France en tant
que radio, activité dans laquelle il excellera :<blockquote><p> "<em style="">Il faut que le trafic passe. Il passe.
Depuis l'âge de seize ans, radio-amateur, je pourchasse les signaux rares et
lointains sur des postes de ma fabrication. J'aime ce jeu qui allie l'acuité de
l'ouïe à la subtilité technique, et lorsqu'en face de moi se trouve un
opérateur de haut vol pour capter les quelques microvolts que je lui lance,
écouler les télégrammes est un plaisir: satisfaction du travail bien fait, plus
celle de David qui fait un pied de nez au Goliath Chleuh</em>."</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">La deuxième constante qui revient
souvent chez ceux qui ont vécu la Résistance c’est, malgré le danger, un
certain bonheur de vivre, d’apprécier ces moments forts où les valeurs
importantes, celles qui comptent sont notamment l’amitié et la confiance :
</p>
<blockquote><p>"<em style="">Dans ce petit groupe plein
d'affection, je découvre le bonheur des choses partagées: amitié, confiance,
humour, danger, la lutte côte à côte vers un but commun, but si désirable que
nous sommes prêts à y risquer notre peau - mais à vrai dire, nous sommes
tellement sûrs d'être les meilleurs, les plus forts, que cette éventualité nous
semble impro</em><em style="">bab</em><em style="">le.... Extraordinaire symbiose de l'esprit
qui donnait au groupe l'impression de n'être qu'un seul être, les qualités de
chacun multipliant celles des autres!</em>"</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Comme Daniel Cordier dans son
livre "<a href="http://ecodemystificateur.blog.free.fr/index.php?post/2018/12/27/Daniel-Cordier">Alias Caracalla</a>", Maurice de Cheveigné nous fait découvrir de
l’intérieur la réalité quotidienne de la Résistance, bien loin de l’image
exaltée que l’on peut en avoir, remplie de tâches routinières, de difficultés
administratives et de conflits internes. Son caractère que lui-même qualifie de
"sale", ne le prédispose pas franchement à faire preuve de
diplomatie lorsqu’on lui demande de faire des rapports de retour de
mission : </p>
<blockquote><p>"<em style="">Je m'étais attendu à
retrouver des amis, à un peu de gentillesse, d'appréciation de mon travail, et
voilà que je suis aux prises avec ce dinosaure, l'Administration. Je contemple
sans indulgence ces gens, ces paperasses, ces tasses de thé, ces cendriers
pleins de mégots. Je viens de passer un an à faire la nique aux Chleuhs, je
suis sans doute un des meilleurs radios du service, ça n'est pas le moment de
me marcher sur les pieds. J'expose la situation avec franchise, sans excès de
patience</em> "</p>
</blockquote>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Et puis après vingt mois de
clandestinité, l’arrestation :</p>
<blockquote><p>"<em style="">La tête en feu, je reste là, assis, menottes toujours dans le dos, à
attendre ce qui sera sans doute bien pis. Fuir l'horreur dans la mort? Il y a
belle lurette que j'ai égaré ma pilule létale. L'utiliserais-je, si je l'avais?
Sans doute pas encore. J'ai la trouille, mais ça n'est pas encore la panique.
Ma cervelle, paralysée lors de mon arrestation, semble tourner à nouveau. Tout
de même, j'aimerais bien l'avoir, cette pilule, au cas où il leur viendrait à
l'idée que je sais quelque chose que je ne sais pas..</em>.",</p>
</blockquote>la torture :<blockquote><p>" <em style="">(…)j'ai le corps figé de douleur
(…)L'angoisse est remplacée par une certitude: je serai bientôt fusillé. L'idée
ne me cause pas de gêne particulière. La chose est tellement évidente. Depuis
toujours je lis des histoires de guerre: on y meurt beaucoup</em>."</p>
</blockquote>les camps de concentration:
<blockquote><p>"<em style="">J'ai faim. La tentation est grande
de se laisser aller. Mais j'ai compris que je ne survivrai qu'en restant maître
de moi. Tout ici est conçu, orienté, pour vous convaincre de votre inexistence,
pour démontrer que votre importance est nulle, moindre que celle des briques
que vous maniez. Il faut sans cesse se prouver le contraire. C'est moi qui décide
des limites que je ne franchirai pas: je ne fouillerai pas les poubelles et je
ne vendrai pas mon cul. Et si je dois mourir, je voudrais échapper à ces
ordures nazies, et que ce soit de ma main</em>."</p>
</blockquote>et la culpabilité d’avoir
survécu à ses camarades morts en détention :<blockquote><p>"<em style="">Je suis aussi allé voir les parents de CYPRIEN, René Bigot. Comment
leur dire ce que c'était...? Ajouter à leur peine la description de l'horreur
absolue de cette manière de mourir... L'injustice criante d'être vivant devant
eux... Pourquoi lui, pourquoi moi...? Je n'ai pas eu le courage, la force,
d'aller les revoir. J'en pleure de rage et de chagrin encore aujourd'hui en
écrivant ceci</em>."</p>

secrétaire de Jean Moulin de Juillet 1942 à Juin 1943. En pratique, il fut bien
plus que cela : il fut son adjoint, l’épaulant de manière remarquable dans
sa tâche proprement surhumaine. C’est ce que nous découvrons dans son livre
"Alias Caracalla", ouvrage passionnant de plus de neuf cent pages que
l’on lit d’une traite. Le terme "second rôle de l’Histoire" qui me
sert d’intitulé à <a href="http://ecodemystificateur.blog.free.fr/index.php?post/2009/04/16/Le-colonel-Muiron">cette catégorie initiée il y a <span>quelque
temps</span> maintenant</a> ne parait pas des plus approprié – mais je n’en ai pas
d’autre – à celui qui, alors qu’il n’avait pas encore 20 ans, fit le choix de
l’honneur, du courage et du don de soi, et qui, hasard des circonstances, alors
que son désir le plus cher était de se battre, se retrouva à seconder le
représentant de De Gaulle chargé d’unifier la Résistance, d’établir l’autorité
du Général sur les responsables militaires affirmant ainsi la légitimité de ce

par la magie de l’écriture, c’est aussi Jean Moulin alias Rex que nous
découvrons, "<em>l’homme le plus
important de la France libre après de Gaulle</em>". L’admiration et
l’affection que lui porte l’auteur sont présentes à chaque instant et nous font
découvrir une facette du caractère de Cordier : c’est un affectif.
Ecoutons le : " <em>Depuis
toujours, mes relations personnelles avec les êtres sont avant tout
affectives : je les aime ou je ne les aime pas ; le reste est
secondaire. (…) Avec le patron, c’est autre chose. Comme Jeanne d’Arc et de
Gaulle - naguère Maurras et Napoléon -, il appartient à mon </em><st1:personname><em>Olympe</em></st1:personname>". A
travers ce changement notable de références, nous abordons là une deuxième
caractéristique<span> </span>du personnage, la
profonde transformation que ces années de guerre ont opéré chez lui, remettant
en cause le déterminisme de son éducation. "<em>Sous l’étreinte des circonstances</em>" le jeune homme d’extrême
droite, antisémite, est devenu un homme de gauche – cette gauche qu’il avait
tant combattue – à qui la vue de l’étoile jaune portée par un vieillard et un
jeune enfant inspire "<em>une honte
insupportable</em>" en lui donnant le sentiment de trahir " <em>l’humanisme, la fraternité entre les hommes</em>"
qu’il se vantait de pratiquer dans le christianisme. Mais une telle
transformation est-elle si étonnante chez quelqu’un qui avait pour livre de
chevet Les Thibault de Roger Martin du Gard et qui voyait en Jacques, le
modèle à suivre ?</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Pour décrire plus précisément Daniel
Cordier et ce que fut son activité aux côtés de Moulin, le mieux reste encore
de faire appel à Cordier lui-même. Ainsi, cette description qu’il fait de l’un
de ses proches collaborateurs, semble lui convenir parfaitement: " <em>(…) il risque sa liberté et sa vie sans
états d’âme, transportant à longueur de journée lettres, argent, postes de
radio, armes, paquets (…). Le moindre d’entre eux peut le conduire en prison, à
la torture et à la mort. Cet inconnu inébranlable que j’ai appris à respecter
est un exemple</em>"<o:p> <br /></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">L’objet principal du livre reste néanmoins
la Résistance, son action, son mode de fonctionnement, ses objectifs. Et ce que
nous fait découvrir Cordier est bien éloigné de l’image exaltée que l’on peut
en avoir. Les antagonismes et les conflits sont nombreux à l’intérieur de cette
nébuleuse entre les Free French formés à Londres et les chefs de la Résistance
qui n’ont jamais quitté le sol national, entre les divers groupes para
militaires eux mêmes, ou encore avec les vestiges des partis politiques. Et
surtout, la vie de tous les jours n’est pas faite d’actes héroïques mais de
tâches essentiellement logistiques visant à assurer les communications entre
les divers intervenants. "<em>La légende
égare aujourd’hui le lecteur, qui ne connaît que l’aspect romanesque de nos
tâches. Je suis toujours frappé par les représentations actuelles qui occultent
les difficultés de la vie quotidienne de la Résistance, peureuse, sans éclat,
ou ne leur donnent pas leur véritable importance. Elles sont transfigurées par
un romantisme de roman d’espionnage, fort éloigné de la véritable réalité.</em>"
Plus encore que l’impérieuse obligation d’effectuer ces tâches ingrates mais
nécessaires, la triste réalité de la Résistance vient de son impuissance à agir :
"<em>En dépit de leurs prétentions
imaginaires, les mouvements sont incapables d’effectuer la moindre action de
guérilla</em>"<o:p> <br /></o:p></p>

Cordier après la guerre. Sa <a href="http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Cordier">biographie sur Wikipedia</a>
nous apprend qu’il choisit de tourner la page et d'oublier radicalement cette
période de sa vie, ne parlant plus de la Résistance en public pendant plus de
trente ans. Il s'oriente alors vers une brillante carrière de marchand d'art. Comment
ne pas voir ici l’influence décisive de Jean Moulin qui dans le court laps de
temps où il l’a côtoyé, l’a initié à l’Art et ses mystères ?<o:p> <br /></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Pour<span> </span>découvrir encore un peu plus cet homme
extraordinaire, je vous recommande <a href="http://www.arretsurimages.net/contenu.php?id=2140">l’excellente émission
d’Arrêt sur image</a> consacrée à la Résistance avec Daniel Cordier qui nous
explique, entre autre, pourquoi la France a cessé pour lui d’exister en Juin
1940 et que le salut viendra de l’Europe et plus encore d’un gouvernement
mondial. </p>

peu en nous intéressant à l’un de ceux que j’appelle les seconds rôles de
l’Histoire, et qui ont agit dans l’ombre d’un personnage illustre. Nous allons
parler ici de Célestin Hennin le créateur des fameuses Brigades du Tigre
rendues célèbres notamment par la série télévisée éponyme. </p>

la télévision qui nous incite à évoquer une réalisation de Clemenceau, ministre
de l’Intérieur pendant plus de trois ans : la modernisation de la police.
Son rôle ne fut pas direct, c’est-à-dire que la transformation<span> </span>n’émana pas techniquement de lui. En réalité,
les « brigades du Tigre » devraient s’appeler les « brigades
Hennion ». Le mérite de Clemenceau fut précisément d’avoir trouvé Hennion.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Célestin Hennion était né dans le
Nord en 1862. A vingt-deux ans, il était entré dans la police comme employé
auxiliaire à la direction de la Sûreté générale. Deux ans plus tard, il fut
affecté à la police des chemins de fer, comme inspecteur spécial. Trois ans
après, il accéda au grade de commissaire de police. Il fut affecté à Verdun,
puis réintégra la police spéciale des chemins de fer à la gare Montparnasse. On
lui confia ensuite à la direction de la Sûreté le service du pari mutuel.</p>

d’Hennion à propos de graves affaires politiques (la surveillance du général
Boulanger) ou judiciaires (la « Bande à Bonnot »), Clemenceau
apprécia sa compétence<span> </span>et décida de le
nommer, le 30 janvier 1907, directeur de la Sûreté générale. Ce poste était
généralement réservé à des préfets mais Clemenceau tenait d’avantage compte des
compétences que des traditions. C’est donc à l’ombre protectrice de Clemenceau
qu’Hennion allait accomplir son œuvre réformatrice. Sous l’efficace protection
de son ministre, il a véritablement créé une police moderne avec en particulier
le Contrôle général des Services de Recherches judiciaires (future Police
judiciaire) , la Brigade mondaine, le Fichier de police criminelle,
l’Identité judiciaire ou le service des voyages officiels.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Pour ce qui est de l’administration
interne de la police, Hennion fut aussi un grand précurseur, préoccupé de tous
les problèmes humains, sociaux comme professionnels. Pour remédier au manque de
formation des policiers, il créa l’Ecole pratique professionnelle des services
actifs de la Préfecture de police, avec des méthodes d’enseignement très
nouvelles, fondées notamment sur l’utilisation du cinéma. A travers elle, il
s’attacha à définir la spécificité et la déontologie de la police républicaine
du XX<sup>e</sup> siècle. Il décédera de maladie au Havre le 14 mars 1915</p>

de l’Histoire que j’ai entamée récemment, je voudrais vous parler de Robert
Dautray. Savant discret, inconnu du grand public, il est le « père » de la
bombe H française. Je l’ai croisé au cours de mes lectures sur De Gaulle, et ce
qui a retenu mon attention ne sont pas tant ses prouesses techniques mais la
manière dont il a réussi, malgré les difficultés, à devenir un scientifique de

des découvertes ont été faites en regardant par-dessus le mur du voisin, par

j’ai été séduit par ce garçon exceptionnel qui, obligé pendant la guerre, où
ses parents avaient été déportés à Auschwitz, de se réfugier comme berger dans
les Causses, avait été assez doué pour se préparer au bachot tout en gardant
ses moutons, puis être reçu premier, d’abord aux Arts et Métiers, ensuite à
Polytechnique ; comment je l’ai fait nommer directeur scientifique de la
Direction des applications militaires ; comment l’introduction de cet
élément extérieur dans l’équipe de Limeil, bouleversant les chasses gardées et
les situations acquises, a provoqué des drames. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Dans un <a href="http://www.ouest-france.fr/actu/actuDet_-Le-pere-de-la-bombe-livre-enfin-ses-secrets_3639-385752_actu.Htm">entretien
avec Ouest France.fr</a>, il précise que travailler sur « la bombe de la France
» ne lui a pas posé de cas de conscience. Il n'a jamais oublié la Shoah, les six
millions de victimes, ces camps de la mort, alliance, dit-il, de l'industrie et
de la science vouée à la destruction en masse d'êtres humains. « <em>Leur non-violence les a menés à la mort.
L'être humain est obligé de se défendre, mais il est aussi appelé à pardonner.
Pas de paix sans pardon.</em> » Et il ajoute : « <em>Le pardon, oui, pour ceux qui sont encore là et qui le peuvent. En ce
qui me concerne, je le peux toujours</em>. »</p>

studieuses de biographie d’hommes célèbres - entreprises afin de créer des
lacunes dans mon ignorance crasse en Histoire – il m’arrive de croiser, à côté
du héros, des personnages dits secondaires. Malgré ce qualificatif peut flatteur,
certains ont grandement influencé le cours de l’Histoire de France. Il en est

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Jean-Baptiste Muiron était un des
aides de camp du général Bonaparte. Tous deux artilleurs, ils s'étaient
rencontrés au siège de Toulon et s'étaient liés d'amitié très vite. Chef de
bataillon à vingt ans, colonel l’année suivante, il partage la bonne fortune de
Napoléon. Il est à ses côtés le 13 vendémiaire et le suit durant la campagne
d’Italie. Le 15 novembre 1796, sur le pont d’Arcole, alors qu’il charge à la
tête de ses troupes, le général Bonaparte est mis en joue par un Autrichien.
Muiron s’en aperçoit et se jette devant Napoléon pour le protéger de son corps.
La balle que reçoit le colonel Muiron lui est fatale. Napoléon ne l’oubliera
jamais. Devenu Premier Consul puis empereur, Napoléon Ier prendra la famille de
Muiron sous son aile afin quelle ne manque de rien, et donnera le nom de
"La Muiron" à une frégate. C'est sur cette frégate qu'il rentrera
d'Egypte quelques semaines avant son coup d'état du 18 brumaire.</p>
